This week flew by!!!!!

In writing, at the beginning of the week we started investigating haunted houses and used four of our fives senses to create detailed sentences.

On Stuffy Day students created riddles for their peers to solve. We started by reading the book "Voices of the Wild". Ask your child what riddle they created for their stuffy. See below for an example, and try to guess the stuffed animal from the riddle:

In math, we continued to work on numbers and the investigation behind numbers. We also looked at money and the value of money. Please continue to have this conversation with your child about money.

In inquiry, we continued to explore the Rights of a Child and started looking at "What if....". What if we didn't have the right to water/healthy food/etc?

On Stuffy Day students interviewed their partners' stuffy to find a problem that their stuffed animal has, such as not having friends, having a hole in the stuffy's ear, etc. Once they figured out the problem the students built a prototype to help fix the problem.

Reminders:

Pumpkin Chocolate Lollipop Orders are due Wednesday. Each treat is $2 and will be delivered to classrooms on October 29th.

Have a great weekend!
